Congratulations, Noble Phantasm. After nearly a year and a half of waiting
for Aion, we're less than three months away from seeing it's release! I
encourage everyone to join us for the beta weekends all the way up until
release. We've created an Elyos legion under the name of "NP" on the Siel
server, and an Asmodian legion under the name of "Phantasm" on the Israphel
server. We'll be rolling Elyos for the release, but during the betas we think
it's fun and fine to try out both sides.
In addition, with Aion's official release on the horizon, we're going to be
starting up an emblem contest. We'll really need all of the artists of the
legion to come together and help out with that, so please keep an ear out for
when we more officially announce more information.
Noble Phantasm has seen increasing popularity in respect to the number of
applicants we've received, and it's unfortunate that we're running out of space
and have been forced to turn away the majority of these people due to our
spatial limitations. We're wrapping up the roster pruning we'd put into effect
over the past several weeks, and it's looking like we have roughly 70-75 members
as things stand now. With such a large number, we've decided to officially close
recruitment. Of course, we'll still allow applications to be made, and will
still accept new members if we feel their applications are exceptional, but in
general, we're going to try not to take in too many more members before the
official release of Aion.
With all that's going on in preparation for Aion, we've decided to take a
step back from World of Warcraft. Noble Phantasm ran strong in WoW from the
early summer of 2008 to the summer of 2009, and we've had a lot of good moments
and memories. Several members have already begun to feel the pull of Aion's beta
pulling them away from World of Warcraft, and the officers especially were
feeling the burden of trying to set the stage for Aion while still maintaining
World of Warcraft. But, all in all, Noble Phantasm is an Aion legion, so we're
letting WoW go. We've offered all of the WoW-Only members from NP-WoW a free
pass to join us in Aion, however, if they want to come with us. They've all
already more than proven their worth in both character and skill, and would be
an excellent addition to the legion if it's what they want.
All in all, it's been an excellent year and half. We started as a small
legion of eight people who decided to stick to a legion with morals and values
and a strong attempt on end-game content, even if we could only get 8 members to
join. Now, we're looking at almost 80 members boasting one of the friendliest
and tightest large communities amongst the pre-Aion legions. I look forward to
what we'll be able to do in the Abyss.
